Creative Bulletin n.228

The Creative Ambush's launch week ended with over 1,000 pre-orders of the book (thank you to each and every one ๐Ÿ™).
The book is being printed already, and after all this excitement, Sole, the prototype and I, are retiring to the mountains at my Teacher's place.

Picking up where we left. Launches are all-consuming, and in the last three weeks we had to put everything on hold, but now we will be able to get back to the projects we were working on.

I can tell you that Brando is on the way, our tool for branding โ€“ weโ€™re still working on the name ๐Ÿ˜… โ€“ and a deck for fast language learning and also a series of products for corporate in-house workshops. Also, for those who asked: yes, Mario5 will also be coming out!

Pieces are finally getting back together. Over the past few months, we have been working on changing the warehouse and a major upgrade of the platform. It felt like gargantuan work, and it seems like a dream to be almost at the end ๐ŸŒŸ

Brainstorming session. I am done interviewing all the people who have applied, and this week we are going to start holding trial brainstorming sessions to expand our team. We need help: we can't wait!

๐ŸŒˆ Creative takeaway: identifying impact
One of the key points I talk about in The Creative Ambush is impact. What impact do we want what we do to have in the world?
These past days many people pointed out that I was not enjoying the launch, as if I was not happy enough about the results, to the point that I questioned myself, I said to myself, "It's going great! Why can't I be happy?"
Then I got an email from a reader who told me that after doing the first exercise of The Ambush, something clicked and she picked up the novel she had been stuck on for years. She was moved and reading her words moved me as well.
At that moment I realized that the impact I desired was not in the number of copies I sold, but in impacting someone else with my book.
Letโ€™s try to understand what is the impact we wish to have otherwise weโ€™ll just go in blind andโ€ฆ itโ€™s not that fun ๐Ÿ˜…

With โค๏ธ,
Matteo
