Creative Bulletin n.300

Yesterday I led an intùiti workshop at IAAD. It was exciting to talk about creativity and creative blocks with first-year university students. I would have loved to attend a class like that when I was their age, when I was angry and frustrated because I couldn’t express myself the way I wanted to.

A week full of lessons. I’ll be holding another workshop tomorrow, and two more over the weekend. In recent years I prioritized Zoom courses with hundreds of participants, or newsletters sent to thousands of readers, and ended up neglecting the intimate, in-person sessions, mainly due to time constraints.

Now I’m rediscovering them, and I really enjoy it. There’s a kind of craftsmanship to these small gatherings, where I feel I can humbly offer something of value to five, ten, maybe fifteen people at a time. Slowly but surely.

Evolutions. This is the 300th newsletter, and like it or not, it makes you reflect (kind of like New Year’s), to look back with gratitude on what’s passed over the past seven years, and look forward to what’s to come.

🌈 Creative takeaway: let go lightly, open up to the new

This year, I moved house. It was tough, and now, eight months later, I realize it was for the best: not only do I love the new place, I was also so emotionally attached to the old one that I was clinging to it in a way that wasn’t healthy.

And that’s how it should be: things change, they evolve, not just the ones we’re unhappy with, but also the ones we love, once they’ve run their course. The road only goes forward.

I’ve decided I’ll be teaching more, and that Sefirot as a whole will move in that direction. I’ve also decided to take the “underground” feel out of my intùiti evenings and open them up to the public (if you’d like to join on Zoom, just write me at this address). And who knows, maybe one day I won’t feel like writing this newsletter anymore (not today 😂), and even this will take on a new form.

Let’s keep moving forward, always toward what’s best—meaning, what’s best for us right now. ❤️
