Creative Bulletin n.319

I’m very happy to share that we finally have a release date for How to Lead a Creative Life. It’s coming out next week, on Tuesday the 21st, as a limited edition printed on special paper ❤️

The pressure of getting everything ready. I’ve just finished filming the video (I’ll show it to you tomorrow 🤟), and I’m working on the layout for the English edition as well as the presentation website.

If creating something feels like a heroic undertaking, the final stretch—careful proofreading, photo corrections, all the last tiny adjustments—feels almost overwhelming. It’s like thinking the mountain is just a few hours away, only to realize it’s still far off in the distance.

So many doubts come up: is the sentence on page 125 really the right one? Is the gray on the cover slightly too warm? Is the landing page title evocative enough?

There’s always that temptation to say, “Let’s wait another week. Let’s go over everything one more time.”

🌈 Creative takeaway: it’s already alive, let it go

There will always be mistakes. No matter the product, the work, or the service. Small layout issues, wording slips, color imperfections, little inaccuracies. Always. Sometimes only you, as the creator, will notice them. Other times, someone else will point them out. There are editions of intùiti and The Creative Ambush that I can recognize just from their mistakes, and I’ve even grown fond of them 😅
I know it doesn’t feel that way, but the truth is that by the time you’re adding the final touches, most of the work is already done. The mountain is an illusion. You can take a deep breath and let your work go out into the world.

With love,
Matteo
