Creative Bulletin n.83

Andrea joined Matteo in the mountains at his teacher’s retreat  and he had a very important question to ask: should he abandon teaching (he has just been offered a position as a professor in  high school) or his work with Sefirot? Going in depth into the reasons for his wanting to choose either one or the other, this need for one choice disappeared, leaving room for enthusiasm towards both aspects. Andrea will be a teacher and a creative 🎉 As soon as he accepted his plurality and he started looking at it as a plus and not as a minus, the rainbow came out into the sky (could this be the reason that his nickname has always been "Bis"?).

🐐🐐🐐 What we’ve been up to this week

  • We sent the last notes on the editing of Fabula's video course and we are waiting for the final cut 🎉 We want to subtitle it in Italian and English so if any of you work in the subtitling world, hit us up!
  • We cracked B.A.D., our Business-Aware Design product, by making the design, competitor analysis, user and business model study interact with each other. We're almost there, we're almost thereeeeee 🤗
  • We finished editing Mario1. Now we can start the Mario2 one. Yes, it's a serial novel (surprise 😅), and Matteo will spend August in a medieval tower in Romagna to finish writing Mario3!

🦊🦊🦊 What we would like to do

  • We want to outline an editorial cut for fiction. Some of you have asked us what kind of books we will end up publishing and we are trying to figure that out ourselves. We believe it’s important to have a clear idea of what we are looking for and why (it saves time for us and for the writers as well!). We are working on it: for now we know that we want to publish Mario because it is a book that tells the truth and makes you want to tell it too. In short, we are not looking for the perfect penmanship or the most compelling story, we want books that make those who read them cling to the words and push readers to change. If you have any stories like this, send them to us!

🍓🍓🍓 What we learned this week

Matteo's parents joined him in the mountains and completely opened up: they danced with the kundalini, shouted during dynamic meditation, walked blindfolded along a mountain path. Matteo decided not to shy away from them or hide, he allowed himself to be seen while he vibrated and sweated, and sang and played the drum.

🌈 Creative takeaway: let’s dare the undareable.
Staying on the surface is easy, we could have given in to the fear of embarrassment and turned the weekend into a courtesy visit. Instead we all had the courage to show ourselves for who we truly are both to others and to ourselves. We dared and opened to the extraordinary, letting it unfold. We will come down from the mountain changed.
And you? What is it that you’re not daring to do?

With ❤️,
Matteo and Bis
