Creative Bulletin n.115

By popular demand we decided to work on Fabula’s full digital version (it is going to be available in a few days 😍). It will be super useful for online workshops and for those who don’t always have an empty wall handy.

🦊🦊🦊 What we’ve been up to this week

• We went to the presentation of a new book series published by Einaudi. We were curious since it doesn’t happen everyday to attend this kind of event but also because we wanted to see how the Big Players handle presentations (there’s always something to learn 😉)
• We completed the development phase for our new products Edito and BAD and we’re now discussing launch and distribution strategies. For BAD we’re designing a longer box that can contain both the deck and the manual. We got lost in philosophical arguments on how this box should look – vertical and elegant or horizontal which would make it more original – and then Cristian from Studiolabo told us: «I don’t care for horizontal books, they never fit in libraries», and we felt stupid 😂 As we said before, there’s always something to learn.

🐈🐈🐈 What we’ve learned

Matteo read intùiti to a friend of his the other night. The cards suggested her to feel more, to open her heart. She looked at him puzzled and said: «I feel! What do you mean I should open my heart?» Matteo saw himself in her skepticism, he asked the same question hundreds of times (with quite a confrontational tone) to his Teacher.

Surprisingly enough, that night, he had the answer: «It’s one thing to see that the wave is coming, but to let yourself be hit by the wave is a whole other thing».

🌈 Takeaway: if we receive little, we give little
For years Matteo’s Teacher told him that his heart was closed and that it was visible in his books. You have no idea how much he would get pissed when she would say that (😂) and mostly he was angry because he couldn't see how his heart could influence his creativity.
Now he feels it: a cup that doesn’t get filled up can’t overflow 😉
