Simone and I worked on the stop motion on Wednesday morning. The rest was done in the afternoon with Sara's help. What we found out is that with a little bit of work and imagination, you can make something cool. Let us know what you think!
How we will launch The Creative Ambush. It will be pre-order based, kind of like crowdfunding on Kickstarter, because for the occasion we will be printing a number of limited copies in hardcover and dust jacket (😎), and the costs are quite high.
The great news is that you will be able to download the digital version of the manual right away, while you wait one month for the printed copy to be delivered at your door!
I'm scared. Yes, I'm shaking in my boots. It's not that by doing things the fear of failure goes away; if you care about the project your knees will always shake 😅
And I care about this book so much.
I'm afraid that it will reach only a few people and that it's my fault. I'm afraid that they won't like it because I wrote the stuff that you're not supposed to say, because I didn't pat on the back, in fact, I was pretty direct, I told the truth about the creative life. I'm afraid because I really believe in it: it is filled with the considerations that helped me do all that I did, to get unstuck several times, and I would like for those concepts to reach those who need it.
I'm afraid and so, as I say inside The Ambush, I can't wait to go even deeper into it, to confront what scares me 💪
🌈 Creative takeaway: go back to go forward
I am also afraid that it is just a repetitive action, yet another launch using an email sequence, landing page and so on, and that it will be like this forever. It is a legitimate fear: if we succumb to repetition, life is a bore.
That's why I decided to do it different this time, to go back to that feeling I had as a kid, when I used to try everything (even doing some pretty embarrassing shit), to indulge myself, to come up with weird gimmicks, to play as hard as I could. The fire lies there.
I am sure we will have fun 😉
