Creative Bulletin n.226
Yesterday I went crazy trying to come up with a catch phrase to write on The Creative Ambush landing page.
After two hours spent walking back and forth around the living room, two hundred versions, and several feedback from friends and colleagues, we came to the conclusion that the first one I had written was also the best. Damn it 😂
Getting ready. I'm working hard on the launch. It is absolutely all consuming, there is nothing else I can think of these days. Tomorrow I will send you a link to get a preview of the website and the invitation to the workshop I will hold on Sunday 👌
First comments from beta readers. The readers who read the book are sending me their hot takes, and I'd like to thank from the bottom of my heart, your help is heartwarming.
One of the comments that stood out particularly was sent by Lorenzo, whom I quote here: “Matteo, you created a Mentor, a Teacher, a Friend, a Parent, a Guide in the form of a book. Reading it was a journey that prescinds creativity, unless we consider our own selves as pure creativity!”
That was exactly what I wanted to convey 🙏 I hope it has that effect on you too.
🌈 Creative takeaway: follow the urgency
Yesterday morning I woke up and felt the urgency to write a story. The day before, I had the urgency to completely redo the landing page for The Creative Ambush (it was more of an unbearable itch in that case 😅) and thank goodness for the urgency 'cause it's much better now. Urgency is almost always right.
Sometimes people ask me what the secret of creativity is. I don't think there is one, but it certainly makes a lot of sense to follow urgency. Any kind of urgency. Whether it's painting a view out the window or going down the street to get coffee.
I'm sure a lot of people have met the love of their life because they went left instead of right.
