So… who wants to take Brando, our new branding tool, for a spin? 😂

We’ll select the first 5 and another 3 chosen randomly from the list! Good luck!

Creativity sometimes means glimpsing the pattern underlying a system. This week, Lino, our marketing manager, and I made a discovery that had us shouting for joy in the street (a modern-day version of Archimedes’ Eureka! 😅).

We were trying to build a framework to help us create ads for our products when we realized that a Facebook reel (about 60 seconds) is nothing more than a key point from Cicero (the Public Speaking tool), typically composed of the so-called strong statement (the key phrase that grabs the listener’s attention), followed by evidence supporting the key phrase.

This simple realization, which had been staring us in the face for months, allowed us to come up with dozens of angles on the spot without any effort.

» We realized that the model behind social media ad formats is the same one behind Public Speaking.

The same thing happened to me when I was working as a UX designer, designing apps and websites. I realized that UX, overcomplicated by endless terms and theories, is nothing more than common-sense design.

Always try to spot the underlying model: everything becomes simpler—it’s like magic!

🌈 Creative takeaway: Misfortunes that can turn into blessings

Yesterday, the person handling our administration informed me that, due to personal reasons, they could no longer continue. In December, with new product launches and the year-end close ahead... I felt like crying.
This reminded me of how overly complex our administrative management still is and how, caught up in other things, I’ve done everything I could to ignore it. My bad.
Well, now I can’t ignore it anymore, and by the end of the year, I’ll have to automate everything.
In short: when we feel like despairing, let’s try to remember that not all bad things come to harm us—in fact, they might not be bad at all.

With ❤️,
Matteo
